Mental Health Week 2024

2024 has brought our third Mental Health Week event.

Again we were beautifully hosted by the Grace Communion Church, on 6th October 2024.

It is heart-warming to partner with an organisation committed to supporting our cause and to providing a venue and hospitality for us.

The theme this year was “Transformations”

and the event was chaired by Pastor Bharat Naker

Butterflies were central to the theme, their life cycle was used as a metaphor for the transformation that takes place during recovery from mental health issues.

Cutting the Cake

Suzanna Free, Founding leader of Blue Phoenix, was joined by supporters of Blue Phoenix as she cut the cake (overwhelmed at the surprise and thoughtfulness of the Grace Communion Hospitality team who provided the cake)

Here Suzanna is joined by our wonderful guest speakers, who were, I suspect, supporting her as she overcame the overwhelm of gratitude and heartfelt connection.
