We made the front page!
An article about two of our members made the front page of the ABC News online.
It all started with Clemente.
Clemente is a program run by the Australian Catholic University in Brisbane. Several of our members attend Clemente, a program for those who might otherwise not be able to enter University. They all agree it is a wonderful program, giving them confidence, learning and a sense of achievement.
Janine Quine, the co-ordinator of Clemente liaised with Emilie Ng, the ACU Media Liaison, to set up an interview with ABC journalist Antonia O’Flaherty.
And this article was the result.
You can read it at the ABC Website.
It gives information about Clemente, about the interview and Rise and Suzanna’s message and their commitment to Blue Phoenix’s vision to encourage people to think differently about mental illness.
The group is especially grateful to Jenene, Emilie andAntonia, and to the ABC for this exposure for Blue Phoenix.
We have had enquiries from all sorts of people interested in our work and many connections and arrangements for joint ventures and support have been made as a result.
We also thank respected ABC journalist Sabra Lane for including a link to the article in her Bright Side newsletter.
