A wonderful new home for the Sunflower Quilt

Visiting the Mental Health Commissioner and his team is always a wonderful experience.
Having them provide such a beautiful home for the Quilt
and support for our programs is so much appreciated.
From the Commission’s social media …
In recognition of R U OK? Day today, we welcomed representatives from community group Blue Phoenix for morning tea and a viewing of the Sunflower Quilt in its new home in our office in Brisbane ??
Created over more than 12 months, the Sunflower Quilt features embroidered squares made by people across South East Queensland and assembled by friends of the Blue Phoenix group. The project aimed to contribute to community discussion about mental health challenges and reduce experiences of stigma and was inspired by the way sunflowers always turn to the light, or instead to each other when the sun is not shining.
We enjoyed catching up and chatting more about Blue Phoenix’s new Pebble Project, launching in Queensland Mental Health Week coming up from 7 October ??
