5th October 2025: As part of the 2025 Queensland Mental Health Week, presenting The Kintsugi Connection presentation and event.

Hosted by Grace Communion and introduced by Pastor Bharat Naker for the annual Mental Health Week event with thanks to Blue Phoenix.

The theme has been “Connections” and the theme that Blue Phoenix have focused on is the Kintsugi connection. We believe Kintsugi is a perfect metaphor for mental health recovery. Please find a detailed explanation around this in the attached video below, and we appreciate your watching and listening of the presentations throughout.

We would like to thank everyone’s involvement, contribution, and presence for this special 2025 Queensland Mental Health Week event. Proudly supported by the Queensland Mental Health Week Community Events Grant Program.

We were invited to exhibit at the Still Force art Exhibition – “A creative showcase of various artists expressing the impact of storms or chaos in their lives, and finding peace and stillness, overcoming their circumstances. Through suffering one can find the ability to quieten the force which rages against and within.”

As requested we provided our Sunflower Quilt for the exhibition and our speaker, Andrew McLean, presented his experiences with art and its value in his recovery to wellness, bringing calm and a sense of achievement; along with how being a member and speaker for Blue Phoenix had also contributed to his growing wellbeing.
